This Advent study series will examine environmental justice, global climate change and conservation of natural resources as a faith issue. In this three-week session, the study group will focus on specific issues by reading key articles, viewing short videos, and listening to guest speakers. Participants will learn about the work of: (a) Interreligious Eco-Justice Network, (IREJN), whose Connecticut-related activities Immanuel Church has supported for a number of years, (b) examine the activities of the Nicaragua Mission Trip, which focused on improving access to clean water resources, and (c) explore how we might make our church a more green, environmentally-conscious and energy-efficient community.
