Join our Lenten Book Study: Climate Church, Climate World: How People of Faith Must Work for Change, by Rev. Jim Antal, Wednesdays, March 13th, 20th, 27th and April 3rd, 6:30-8pm, in the Chapel

The Environmental Action Committee invites you and all friends to participate in a Book Study of Rev. Jim Antal’s important book. Antal is a United Church of Christ denominational leader, award-winning activist, and public theologian. He serves as the national spokesperson on climate change for the United Church of Christ. Rev. Antal’s book poses the question, “As God’s children, we are entrusted with the responsibility to protect God’s creation,…how must people of faith face the enormity of a moral crisis which constitutes a theological emergency?”

Interested persons are encouraged to sign up on the sheet posted in Fellowship Hall, or contact Roland Axelson, rgaxelson@gmail.com, 860-817-2915. Participants are encouraged to purchase copies of the book at Barnes and Noble or from Amazon.  Some copies of the book have been purchased for anyone unable to purchase the book. Please let R. Axelson know.

Please note that Rev. Jim Antal will preach and hold a Second Hour discussion at Immanuel on April 28th, the Sunday after Earth Day, April 22nd. All are invited to attend.
