Join Us on Sunday, June 30th, to Celebrate PRIDE and the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall

On June 30th, Immanuel will celebrate Pride Sunday and the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall with a special 10am worship service and Second Hour. The Stonewall Uprising is considered by many to represent the birth of the movement for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights, and activists across the country will be celebrating a half-century of LGBTQ+ liberation that same day.

In honor of this special day, The Rev. DaVita McCallister will be our guest preacher in worship and then will lead us in a discussion about gender, sexuality and faith in a Second Hour. Rev. McCallister, a former Associate Conference Minister in Connecticut and a guest preacher at Immanuel in past years, is currently the Lead Pastor at First Church Somerville (UCC) in Massachusetts.

Please plan to attend what should be an exciting and celebratory day at Immanuel! Please note there will be no Summer Choir on this Sunday.
