Children’s Ministry Information

The children’s ministry of Immanuel Congregational Church (Christian Kids!) has fun, grows together, learns about God and the Christian faith and makes the world a better place in a loving, affirming and safe environment.

Our Core Values that are woven into every lesson, group, program and event are

1) Love God 

2) Love and care for all of God’s people including all races, all sexual orientations, all gender expressions and all abilities.

3) Serve our community and our world.

Our children’s faith formation program, Christian Kids, takes place on Sunday morning at 10am from September through late May, with special summer sessions on select Sundays.

The children begin their experience in the worship service with their families, and kids PreK - 8th grade are invited to participate in our lively, fun and creative Christian Kids ministry following the children’s message.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month, and children of all ages are invited to participate. Children and youth bring their offerings to worship through music, special readings, drama and other lively activities.

Our children’s church program uses a large group, small group model with contemporary monthly themes that bring scripture alive using music, video, drama, games and other hands-on activities. We emphasize mental health on the first Sunday of each month.
