Central CT Youth Group - Serving the Hartford Area
Open to those in 6th - 12th grade, born in 2006-2012, youth receive an extravagant welcome and hospitality in a safe, affirming place. Community meals, supportive mentorship, fun games, hot topic discussions and exploration of a variety of prayer and contemplative practices are featured at these twice monthly gatherings!
Our Core Values that are woven into each gathering, service event, and retreat are:
1) Love God
2) Love and care for all of God’s people including all races, all sexual orientations, all gender expressions and all abilities.
3) Serve our community and our world.
Central CT Youth prides itself on:
Extravagant welcome and hospitality that provides a safe and affirming place for all young people no matter how they identify and instills a believe that God loves them just the way they are!
Affiliation with Beloved Arise, the national LGBTQ youth group that celebrates and empowers queer youth of faith (presently the only youth group in New England.)
Twice-monthly gatherings including a community dinner with active mentor support, fun games and hot-topic discussions.
Experiential practice and learning of a variety of prayer and contemplative practices for life-long exploration.
Guest speakers, restorative retreats and trips with local and global service outreach opportunities.
