In this Second Hour, our HIU Intern Hina Khan will explore how justice lies at the heart of the Abrahamic traditions. Drawing from scripture and classical Islamic thought, she will examine the role of prophets—Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (Peace be upon them)— as divine adjudicators and models of moral and social balance.
The session will also highlight the concept of Aql (intellect) as a sacred tool for discernment, drawing on Imam Al-Ghazali’s insights. Participants will be invited to reflect on whether we are truly repaying our religious debt with justice— to God, society, and to our own Godgiven intellect.
